The sheets are aligned on both sides and transported to the collecting station where the cross knife unit folds the sheets by means of its vertical movement from bottom to top.<>Collecting and folding station<>The knife-scored and folded signature is transferred inside two facing, pneumatically-driven plates that press the fold. Subsequently, the signature is transferred from these plates to the fix saddle of the sewing machine.<>FX-50 thread book sewing machine<>Ideal for on-demand books, the sewing machine is also suitable for oversized book production because of its capacity to deal with signatures up to 510 x 550 mm (front feeding) and 510 x 350 mm (side feeding).
